What is the dress code?

The dress code at conference is business or business casual attire.

How can I request disability accommodations?

The AWC Annual Conference strives to provide accessible educational opportunities for all individuals, including those with disabilities. Please contact Gina Abram at AWC, (360) 753-4137, at least seven business days prior to the Summit if any disability accommodations are needed. For TDD users, please use the state’s toll-free relay service, 800-833-6388, and ask the operator to dial the AWC number.

Is there a registration deadline?

You may register through June 19, 2017.  After June 19, attendees are asked to register onsite in Vancouver.  The early bird rate ends on May 22, 2017.

Will my fee be refunded if I have to cancel my registration?

A $75 cancellation fee will be assessed for cancellations made after May 22, 2017. No refunds will be given for cancellation requests received after May 22, 2017. Cancellation requests must be submitted by email to registration@awcnet.org. Substitutions are gladly accepted at no extra charge, and at any time. Badge sharing or splitting is strictly prohibited.

Parking at the Hilton

The Hilton Vancouver Washington has self-parking ($15 per day) and valet parking ($20 per day) available in their underground parking facility. Additional parking is available for day use and supplemental parking at the Vancouver Center at the current rates of $0.75 per hour, Monday – Friday $6 max. until 6 pm, $8.50 max all day until close, $2.50 max after 6 pm until close. The Hilton Vancouver Washington has agreed to provide overnight self-parking to guests with sleeping room reservations in the hotel parking facility at a guaranteed rate of $9 per night. Parking spaces are based upon availability.

Continuing education credits

Mayors and councilmembers that attend AWC’s Annual Conference can earn up to 10 credits for AWC’s Certificate of Municipal Leadership (CML) program. For more information on recording or tracking your CML credits visit the CML page on AWC’s website and click on “CML Tracker.”
