AWC Lobby Day

April 3 – Olympia
Capitol Campus, Columbia Room
416 Sid Snyder Ave SW
Olympia, WA 98504

Many legislators have been clear that state-shared revenues of more than $200 million are in jeopardy and soon, we’ll know how true this is.

City officials are invited to Olympia to tell legislators that strong cities are the key to a great state.

Add your voice and let legislators know how they can help retain and enhance strong cities:

  • AWC Lobby Day is the day before cutoff, where the House and Senate are each slated to finalize the fiscal and policy bills that will either help or hurt cities.
  • After that, they begin negotiating the differences in earnest while aiming to conclude their work by April 23.
  • This is a key time to meet legislators face-to-face and on the floor to share the positive or negative impacts of the difficult budget or policy decisions they face.

We’ve reserved the Columbia Room on the ground floor of the Capitol to serve as our headquarters to brief city officials and help you deploy and connect with your legislators and key leadership. Register to join us for as much of the day as you can and start making appointments with your legislators now.

Registration: 9:30 am
Session: 10 am – 3 pm (box lunch included)

Visitor parking costs $1.50 per hour and the parking meters accept credit/debit, bills or coins. Click here to access the capitol campus visitor parking map.

Hotel changes/cancellations

Guests are responsible for paying for their own accommodations. All changes and cancellations must be made directly with the hotel. The hotel must receive notice of cancellation at least 72 hours prior to the arrival date and a cancellation number must be obtained by the guest to avoid penalty charges for one night stay.

AWC is not responsible for any penalty or no-show charges.

AWC has worked diligently with the hotels to establish a room block for our attendees. Improper solicitation of hotel reservations from any company or housing provider other than AWC is not approved. Reservations made by unaffiliated organizations may appear to be for lower rates; however, they may be illegitimate, have unreasonable cancellations or change penalties, or be completely non-refundable.
