LCB conducts its first recreational marijuana compliance checks – four businesses citied for selling to minors

The Washington State Liquor Control Board conducted twenty-two compliance checks on recreational marijuana businesses May 15-18. Of the twenty-two, four businesses sold recreational marijuana to underage investigative aides. This first check represents an 82% no-sales-to-minors compliance rate.

The four business found selling to minors were located in Tacoma and Everett. For a full list of stores who were checked, including those who sold to minors, see the Liquor Control Board’s news release here.

The businesses and individuals found to be out of compliance will be cited for selling to minors and may be subject to monetary, administrative and criminal penalties.
