Employer Representative needed for Select Committee on Pension Policy

There is currently a vacancy for an employer representative on the State Select Committee on Pension Policy. The Select Committee’s decisions and recommendations can have far reaching impact on local government employers. It is very important that cities are represented on this important policy setting Committee. The Committee:

  • Studies issues and policies affecting the state's public employee retirement systems (non-LEOFF 2).
  • Makes recommendations to the Legislature regarding changes to the various pension systems (non-LEOFF 2).

The Committee generally meets monthly during the legislative interim, but not during the legislative session. More information about the Select Committee is available on the Pension Education and Overview page.

This position is appointed by the Governor. If you are interested in representing employers on this Committee, please apply directly through the Governor’s office by clicking here.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact Candice Bock at AWC. Additionally, please notify her when you apply.
