Liquor theft bill on its way to the Governor

Theft from liquor store outlets received a lot of attention last year. After consulting a stakeholder group, Rep. Christopher Hurst (D-Enumclaw) introduced ESHB 2155 to address the issue.

The bill allows local law enforcement to become involved when unacceptable loss is reported. Unacceptable loss is defined as any loss within a six-month period that results in a minor unlawfully using or possessing spirits.

The bill passed the Senate today and is on its way to the Governor.
