Transportation project reforms and efficiencies

As transportation revenue discussions continue, key legislators are pursuing transportation reforms and efficiencies. Two efforts are simultaneously being conducted. The Senate Majority Coalition Caucus has released a list of reform ideas. In addition, the Joint Transportation Committee is conducting a Transportation Project Efficiencies Study. AWC staff is participating in a staff workgroup associated with the study and will be reaching out to cities to gather information on the various topics.

Next week, AWC will be sending a survey out to planning directors and public works directors to collect information on specific reform and efficiency proposals that are being discussed. We will also be asking for reform and efficiency ideas from cities. Please feel free to contact Alison Hellberg if you have any thoughts or ideas.
