Prevailing wage day in the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee

On February 13 at 1:30 pm, the Senate Commerce & Labor Committee will hear several prevailing wage bills.

SB 5395 is the companion to HB 1025 and would extend prevailing wage requirements to projects "subsidized by the public." AWC testified against HB 1025 in the House Labor & Workforce Development Committee on January 23 and will do the same on SB 5395.

Another bill being heard that day, SB 5621, would require contractors to provide certified payroll records to public owners before the public owner could make a final payment and release retainage. We are interested in feedback on potential impacts on cities. Send your comments to Alison Hellberg.
