Proposal allowing a private entity to conduct audits and establish an appeal process fails to advance

The bill allowing cities to seek an audit by a private entity and establishing an appeals or dispute process for findings by the State Auditor, HB 2148, failed to move out of the Senate Accountability & Reform Committee by Friday’s deadline and appears to be dead for the session.
