Washington’s cities and towns are the corner stone for economic development in Washington State. They provide vital public services, establish and support comprehensive infrastructure systems, preserve history, create and maintain parks, and sustain neighborhoods that fit with the community’s vision.
Using data collected from city officials by survey and focus group discussions, this report explores how cities promote economic development in their communities, the successes they’ve had the and barriers they are experiencing.
