Federal issues affecting cities

The Federal Legislative Committee was created to strengthen our voice and assume a more visible role at the federal policy level. Committee members were selected to balance representation among urban, rural, large and small cities from all over Washington State. The Committee is the first step in the process of identifying federal legislative issues of importance to cities and town in our state and facilitating communication on those issues among AWC membership, AWC leadership, NLC policy and steering committees and our strong state congressional delegation.

We ask that you contact us and share your thoughts about which current federal policy issues should be considered for the AWC federal legislative agenda. AWC staff contact: Jim Justin, Director State and Federal Relations jimj@awcnet.org.
