The Washington State University Extension Energy Program has issued application guidelines for the Shared Resource Conservation Manager Program and grants. This program is funded by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Recovery Act funds, and is available to all cities and counties.
A link to information on the Shared Resource Conservation Manager Program, the application guidelines, and application form are posted on the Commerce web site at www.commerce.wa.gov/recovery. Interested applicants may also go directly to the WSU web site at www.energy.wsu.edu/apps/Projects/ResourceConservation
Management/SharedRCMProgramInformation.aspx.
A total of $750,000 will be available to all Washington state cities and counties through a first come, first served grant program.
This program is being administered by the Washington State University (WSU) Extension Energy Program.
Cities and counties must complete Phase One of the program before they can apply for the available grants in Phase Two. Phase One applications must be submitted to WSU Extension Energy to start Phase One of the process. Phase One of the process includes gathering of information for determining the feasibility of a Shared RCM Program.
After a Shared RCM Program agreement is signed by a local partnership, and WSU Extension Energy has recommended the partnership for funding, a lead city or county is eligible to apply during Phase Two to the Department of Commerce for grant funds.
Phase Two Grant Applications are due to the Department of Commerce between October 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009.
