City employees from around the state are using Free & Clear Quit For Life to successfully quit smoking and chewing tobacco. The Quit for Life program is offered on all AWC Trust medical plans—Regence, Asuris and Group Health.

Regence/Asuris members call 1-866-784-8454.

Regence/Asuris members can receive cessation aids—like nicotine replacement patches or gum—delivered to the home at no cost. Pay your regular co-pay for other medications, such as bupropion or Chantix.

What is the Free & Clear Quit For Life Program?
It is a nationally recognized, scientifically based program that has helped hundreds of thousands of people quit tobacco successfully for 20 years.

What does the Quit For Life Program include?
The Quit For Life Program consists of proactive phone-based treatment sessions with a quit coach. The quit coach works with participants one-on-one to develop a tailored quit plan and provides guidance and support during the quit process. The program includes:

  • Phone-based treatment sessions scheduled at the convenience of the participant
  • Personally tailored quit plan developed with a quit coach
  • Unlimited toll-free telephone calls to quit coaches
  • Nicotine replacement therapy—such as the patch or gum—mailed to the home
  • A Quit Kit of materials to help participants stay on track between calls

Who is eligible for the program?
The Quit For Life Program is available to all AWC plan members and their dependents over 18 years of age. Regence/Asuris members call 1-866-784-8454. Group Health members call 1-800-462-5327.

How much does it cost to participate in the Quit For Life Program?
The AWC Trust is committed to helping our members become free of tobacco, so we are fully covering the cost of the Quit For Life Program. Members and their eligible dependents pay nothing for the program. Even the cost of nicotine patches or gum is fully covered. Members pay their regular co-pay for other medications, such as bupropion or Chantix.

What about other forms of tobacco—like chewing tobacco?
The Quit For Life Program is tailored to the needs of the participants.
