Citizens want government to be accountable to them. Government leaders want to do right by the citizens in their communities. Still, distrust between citizens and government persists throughout many Washington communities. This day-long forum is designed to offer practical help in improving the citizen-government connection by:

  • Asking citizens what’s important to them;
  • Managing performance on those issues with useful data for administrators, elected officials, and citizens; and
  • Checking on that progress on a regular basis, being sure to report back to citizens.

Three tracks are offered so leaders who are brand new to this work and those who have already made significant strides in performance and accountability measures can learn something new from this forum.

Training tracks:

  • Track 1 – Getting Started
  • Track 2 – Assessing Your Strengths
  • Track 3 – Taking Performance a Step Beyond
