AWC recently had a cooking demonstration by the NuCulinary Institute in Seattle. This recipe was a staff favorite. These pea vines are simple, quick and delicious!
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound pea vines or shoots rinsed and drained well
½ teaspoon five-spice powder
1 Tablespoon light soy sauce
2 scallions, sliced fine
1. Heat the oil. Add the pea shoots and stir-fry for 2 minutes making sure they don’t burn.
2. Stir in the five-spice powder, soy sauce and scallions. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes and serve immediately.
