The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (WUTC) is holding two informal hearings on potential flooding in the Green River Valley related to the Howard Hanson Dam. Regulated companies with operations or facilities in the Green River Valley will make presentations, which will cover the exposure to flooding and preparations to mitigate the impact on services following a flood incident. Information about communication with the Emergency Management Division and county and city personnel will also be included. Interested parties, including the cities in the impacted area, are invited to these presentations.
On October 15, at 10 am, Puget Sound Energy, Williams Pipeline, and Olympic Pipeline will make presentations to the commission.
On October 29, at 10:30 am, representatives from telecommunications, water, and garbage haulers will make presentations.
Both hearings will take place at the WUTC office at 1300 Evergreen Park Drive in Olympia.
