The D&A Consortium helps members comply with federally-mandated drug and alcohol testing requirements for CDL employees, transit drivers, and gas utility workers.
The D&A Consortium provides random testing for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). Your membership includes random testing services. Non-random federally-required testing services – such as pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident and return to duty – are available at an additional cost.
View required random drug and alcohol testing percentages, which can change annually. Membership with the D&A Consortium ensures you meet these requirements.
All safety-sensitive transportation workers are subject to drug and alcohol testing. Learn which tests, if any, your employees need.
The Medical Review Officer (MRO) is an important component of any workplace drug-testing program. View more about our MRO.
When an employee violates a U.S. DOT drug and alcohol regulation, the employer is required to give the employee a listing of SAP(s). Find out how the D&A Consortium can help you connect with a SAP.
For employers that have policies and procedures in place, the D&A Consortium offers testing for employees not subject to federal testing.
