Every year at the Municipal Recognition Lunch at AWC’s Conference, AWC recognizes individual and citywide achievements that
improved local communities and demonstrated leadership in local government. At the conference in Tri-Cities, the following
awards will be recognized.
Municipal Achievement Awards
AWC’s Municipal Achievement Awards recognize effective city programs that improve the quality of life in local communities
and demonstrate good local governance.

WellCity Awards
This program recognizes cities that created health promotion programs that encourage a commitment to healthy employees and
healthy workplaces.

Diversity Champion Awards
AWC's Diversity Champion Awards recognize city efforts to celebrate diversity, provide leadership in meeting the challenges
of potential conflict, and work with all members of their communities.

Civic Service Awards
AWC presents civic service awards each year to city officials who have retired after 20 or more years of service to their
city. Elected officials, city managers and administrators, city clerks, senior department directors and city attorneys who have
retired are eligible.
