Rattlesnake Hills Winery Tour

Thursday, June 19
1:30 – 4 pm
$10

Winery hopping in the scenic Rattlesnake Hills is an unforgettable journey of delightful discovery. The region’s wineries have a close connection to the soil – the grapes you see are the wines you drink. Spend an afternoon savoring some of the Valley’s award-winning wines.

  • Silver Lake Winery
Silver Lake Winery at Roza Hills is the perfect place to start your tour. Enjoy the winery’s dramatic view overlooking Whiskey Canyon vineyard and the entire Valley.
  • Hyatt Vineyards
Nationally recognized for their superb merlots and cabernets, the Hyatt family released their first wines in 1987. The winery’s home vineyard is on a knoll at 1100 foot elevation with spectacular views of Mt. Rainier and Mt. Adams.
  • Bonair Winery
Featured in Washington’s Best Places to Kiss, the Bonair Winery offers the perfect setting for late afternoon relaxation. Sit outside with a glass of wine and enjoy the koi pond or maybe a little duck watching on the lake.

Downtown Walking Winery Tour

Wednesday, June 18
2:30 – 4 pm
No charge. Wineries will deliver purchases to your hotel.

Yakima’s downtown winery clusters are a natural economic development strategy. During the walking tour, you’ll hear how the wineries fit into the city’s downtown plan.

  • Masset Winery Downtown Cellars
Masset Winery opened a tasting room and wine lounge in downtown Yakima in November of 2007. Their comfortable environment draws foot traffic by featuring award winning red wines, a delicious selection of food and chocolates, and an art gallery showcasing local artists.
  • Kana Winery
Kana is a native word for the spirit or the fire within a mountain and the supernatural power of volcanic activity. The Yakima and Columbia valleys are awash with volcanic soil influences. Kana Winery selects its fruits from the very best vineyards, along with specially selected wines from single vineyards that express a sense of place.
  • Plaza Socievole
Plaza Socievole is downtown Yakima’s newest wine tasting room and bistro, occupying the corner spot of the A.E. Larson Building, one of the Pacific Northwest’s finest Art Deco structures. The tasting room showcases the building’s historic architectural features.
