Drug & Alcohol Supervisor e-Learning
U.S. Department of Transportation regulation mandates all supervisors of CDL employees and transit or gas utility workers receive one-hour training in drug awareness and one-hour training in alcohol abuse. Additionally, any employee who may make a reasonable suspicion determination is required to receive the 2-hour training.
To help employers meet this requirement, AWC provides an online training that Drug & Alcohol Consortium members can take from any location and at their own pace.
During the online supervisor training, you will:
- Review the U.S. DOT mandates for drug and alcohol testing.
- Learn how state and federal updates have impacted the testing procedure.
- Review the criteria for conducting a reasonable suspicion test.
- Learn the difference between reasonable suspicion and performance problems.
- Review signs and effects of substance abuse (required by law) but also learn the dangers of diagnosing.
This online training is currently available to D&A members only. Refresher training is recommended every two years.
