Labor Relations Institute Scholarships
Eligibility for member rates
In addition to city officials, the following are also entitled to the member rate for the Labor Relations Institute and pre-conference sessions.
Eligibility for scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available for the Institute and some include pre-conference sessions as well. The terms of the scholarships are noted below. Please review the membership lists to see if you qualify.
To apply for a scholarship, choose the scholarship option on the registration form. You will be contacted by an AWC staff person if you are not eligible for the scholarship or if the scholarship opportunities have been exhausted.
Note: organizations that sponsor scholarships are not responsible for cancellation fees. If you cancel your registration or do not attend, your organization will be billed for the appropriate cancellation fee ($25 if prior to April 18, full registration fee after that date.)
- AWC Small Cities Scholarship Program
Small cities under 5,000 in population may qualify for one scholarship for the Institute only.
- AWC Risk Management Service Agency (RMSA) members
RMSA members qualify for a scholarship and are eligible for one free registration for the Institute only. RMSA will pay the early registration rate only – if you register after March 28, your jurisdiction will be responsible for a $25 late registration penalty.
- Washington Counties Risk Pool (WCRP) members
WCRP members qualify for scholarships and are eligible for one free registration for the Institute only. WCRP will pay the early registration rate only – if you register after March 28, your jurisdiction will be responsible for a $25 late registration penalty.
- Washington State Transit Insurance Pool (WSTIP) members
WSTIP members qualify for a scholarship and are eligible for one free registration for the Institute, including one pre-conference session.
- Washington Cities Insurance Authority (WCIA) members
WCIA members qualify for a scholarship and are eligible for one free registration for the Institute.
- Enduris members
Enduris members qualify for a scholarship and are eligible for one free registration for the Institute, including one pre-conference session.
