  • Connect with AWC health promotion staff and your wellness neighbors.

Agenda

Presenter

  • Julie McDowell, Health Promotion Supervisor, AWC
Julie has been serving cities for 36 years. She enjoys helping AWC Trust members find creative approaches to reaching their goals and takes great pride in watching small employers build world-class wellness programs. She began her career at the City of Cheney before joining AWC, where she’s been leading the Trust’s health promotion efforts since 1987. She is a proud Washington native who has called both sides of the state her home. In her spare time she enjoys having pogo stick contests with her 8-year-old grandson.
  • Jon Smith, MS, CWP, Health Promotion Consultant, AWC
Jon has worked in health education and health promotion since 1987 as a teacher, coach, and program coordinator in K-12 schools and as a part-time college instructor. Since joining AWC in 2007, he’s provided workplace wellness training, consultation, and program support for Trust members across the state. Jon has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in health education, is a Certified Wellness Practitioner through the National Wellness Institute, and holds WELCOA Faculty status with the Wellness Council of America.
