Join AWC CEO Mike McCarty and legislative staff for an interactive evening of conversation. During the two-hour meeting, we will talk about what to expect in the upcoming legislative session and ways to engage your legislators and other community members in the issues. We also will explore ways to further strengthen connections within our communities and talk about long-term activities to involve more citizens and new types of partners in community issues. Come prepared to talk about these types of questions:
- How have reduced state-shared revenues impacted your general fund or capital budgets?
- Does your city adopt an agenda or priorities to share with your area legislators? If so, are your legislators responsive?
- What does community engagement look like to you?
- Who are your current partners in the community and who might they be?
- What do you need to help you expand your connections and engage citizens in new ways?
We look forward to having you join the conversation and help AWC prepare the tools and resources you need to engage existing audiences and further expand your connections.
These meetings are for elected officials, city managers/administrators and city clerks.
