Community & economic development enlightenment – asset vs. needs based webinar

February 21, 2012
10 – 11 am

Focusing on and leveraging your region’s indigenous assets generates more opportunities, produces real outcomes, speeds growth and builds capacity. Traditional economic development approaches, especially public funding policy, have driven strategies to focus on needs and weaknesses.

This webinar will explore how an economic development professional can make the shift.

  • Learn the distinction between needs and asset based economic development
  • Examine the tools and processes to be effective
  • Hear case examples of what has worked
