Time to implement SEPA reforms
Reforming and modernizing SEPA, making it work better for cities, was a major AWC priority this last legislative session. SB 6406 passed during the special session and included many reforms to SEPA that go into effect today, including:
- Temporary expansion of categorically exempt projects.
- Removing the requirement for SEPA review on certain administrative actions.
- New flexibility with the SEPA checklist.
- Improvements to upfront SEPA tools.
