Certified Safety Coordinator

AWC Retro's trainings increase both the knowledge and effectiveness in developing and administering safety programs. As a member of the AWC Retro program, safety managers and other staff from each jurisdiction can receive this training free of charge.

Participants can choose courses that best meet their safety needs. AWC highly recommends members follow the "Certified Safety Coordinator" (CSC) program. The CSC program consists of 7 required (core) courses and 5 elective courses of the participant’s choice. Each course takes 3 hours or less to complete. Upon completion of the CSC program, the candidate will receive a framed certificate.

AWC Retro strongly encourages each Retro member to have at least one employee complete the Certified Safety Coordinator program. This training is free to AWC Retro members.

Safety Award Program

Retro members now have an opportunity to receive a safety award by having field employees attain Certified Safety Coordinator status. Find out more about this program.
