COBRA
COBRA is complex and time consuming. As a member, the Trust provides COBRA administration services. We keep up with regulations, mandates, notification requirements, provide billing services and collect monthly COBRA premiums so members can focus on other things.
Participating employers of the AWC Employee Benefit Trust are under the federal mandate of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). Certain provisions of the law allow employees, retirees, spouses, and dependents to extend their group insurance benefits on a self-pay basis for a limited period of time when coverage would otherwise be terminated.
