We have liftoff!

Following months of research, development and testing, we proudly announce the launch of the new AWC website!

Adopting a member-centric philosophy, the new AWCNET.org has been designed to create an improved interactive experience and to educate and inform visitors about AWC programs, services, and membership benefits.

Built on a powerful new platform, the new site offers an expansive toolset which gives our users a range of rich features. Most notably, you will notice the distinct “breaking news” feel, with rotating content on most of the main section landing pages and extensive use of video throughout. We’ve also customized more content based on each member’s unique permission set.

The launch of the new site also provides a chance to firmly cement the recent updates to the AWC brand. While usability and functionality have been key drivers behind the development of the site, it is also an opportunity to reaffirm our visual brand and our brand voice. The site’s aesthetics and clear classification of services reflects the fundamental mission of AWC – to serve our members through advocacy, education, and services. When new visitors come to the site for the first time they will be able to gain a clear understanding of who we are and the value we provide, and for returning visitors we hope it echoes what they already know.

AWC staff has poured extensive time and energies into this project to ensure that our members get the information they need quickly. A key part of the usability is the internal navigation – an intuitive menu layout, a breadcrumb trail and link-rich copy combine to make sure wherever a member is on the site, they will easily be able to navigate to any other location.

Thanks to all AWC members and staff for your cooperation, patience, and collaborative spirit during this process. SpeciaI thanks goes to AWC staff members Chelsey Lindquist, Jen Brimer, and Doug Evans for flexing their technical and creative muscle and for the serious heavy lifting that came with content migration.

The new site launch is a significant milestone for the entire AWC family. We’re proud of the best-in-class product we’ve built and are anxious to witness its transformative affect.
