AWC Board of Directors elects new member

AWC’s Board of Directors recently elected Mayor David Cooper, Yarrow Point, to the At-large (Western) Position #2. He’s serving his second term as mayor and was on council from 2002-2006. David is a small business owner and an architect.

Recently he’s focused on transportation issues surrounding the SR520 corridor and the bridge replacement project, and co-represented a small city coalition on Eastside Transportation Partnership.

Over the years, he’s actively participated in numerous AWC workshops and events and regularly networks with other nearby communities. Outside of city hall, David’s volunteer work with the Boy Scouts of America was recognized by the Chief Seattle Council which awarded him with the Silver Beaver Award (highest award a local scout council can give a volunteer).

Please join AWC in welcoming Mayor David Cooper to the AWC Board of Directors.
