Nine people make up AWC’s Government Relations department in Olympia and work year-round to advocate on behalf of Washington’s cities.

Statement of Policy

AWC’s Statement of Policy, approved by the AWC membership, outlines positions AWC holds on fundamental municipal issues and serves as the framework for developing AWC’s legislative priorities and positions.

Legislative Priorities and Federal Legislative Priorities Committees

AWC’s two legislative priorities committees identify and recommend city legislative priorities to the AWC Board of Directors for adoption.
