Former AWC Board Member Rep. Jake Fey (D-Tacoma) introduced HB 2763 to extend the sunset of the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) provisions that allow for a protection from appeal for projects near transit hubs that are consistent with certain planned actions.

School Siting Task Force wraps up

As we noted in a previous Bulletin article, last year’s capital budget directed the creation of a legislative task force to look at the siting challenges facing school districts in the state, particularly those that feel they have a difficult time securing usable land within the urban growth areas of their community.

Deadline reminder: Send any property disclosure requirements to MRSC

During the 2015 session the legislature passed EHB 2122 which relates primarily to Real Estate Excise Tax (REET) authority, but the bill also contains new requirements that apply to cities (or counties) that have in place, or are contemplating enacting, regulations that require certain disclosures by landlords and sellers of real property to buyers and tenants regarding the property and the surrounding area.
