Bill expanding tribal property tax exemption does not move

HB 1287 extended the tribal property tax exemption to all tribal economic development purposes, which could include casinos, golf courses, and race tracks.

City action still needed on city business licenses and B&O tax

Earlier this week, we sent cities with business licenses and/or B&O taxes an Action Alert asking them to contact their Senators in opposition to SB 5656, which requires all cities with business licenses to join the state’s Business Licensing Service (BLS), and SB 5688, which requires cities to use the state B&O classifications and gives the state authority to implement and interpret the local B&O model ordinance.
