Plastic bag bill introduced

The bill we have highlighted previously, (HB 1310) creating a model ordinance approach to city authority to regulate consumer takeout bags, has been dropped into the hopper and introduced for legislative conversation. We will be meeting soon with the proponents of the bill. If you haven’t yet provided comments to Carl Schroeder, please do so soon.

Plat approval timeline extension

Rep. Angel (R-Port Orchard) introduced HB 1074, which extends the timeline by which final plats must be submitted to a city legislative authority from nine years after issuance of preliminary approval to ten years, if the preliminary plat was approved before December 31, 2007.
