Marijuana revenue sharing still a work in progress

As we’ve reported previously, the issue of sharing marijuana excise tax revenue with cities still has yet to be resolved and is part of the special session negotiations. Cities are urging action on HB 2136 that, among other provisions, provides for revenue sharing. AWC’s President, Francis Benjamin, and Vice President, Paul Roberts, recently sent a letter to the legislators in both the House and Senate that are working on this bill asking them to take action and address our outstanding concerns.

Please feel free to share this letter with your local legislators. Remind them of the importance of this legislation and ask for their support to ensure that it is acted upon during the special session.
