2nd Annual Labor and Employer Summit – September 10

AWC is again partnering with the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters and the Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs on a joint effort to foster trust and communication between city management and police and fire unions.

This year’s summit continues the goals of promoting mutual understanding and respect, and discovering ways to work better together during bargaining and throughout the year. The day kicks off with acclaimed training that teaches skills for creating alignment and agreement by fostering open dialogue around high-stakes, emotional, or risky topics.

The summit is geared toward labor and management representatives involved in police and fire labor negotiations in cities – union presidents or shop stewards, human resources or labor relations directors, city managers/administrators, police and fire chiefs, attorneys, and other key members of the negotiating teams on both sides of the table. We strongly encourage participation from both union and management, and are offering a discounted registration fee for multiple registrants from each city.

More information and registration is available here.
