Public Works Trust Fund Survey Responses Requested

Did your city lose out on a Public Works Trust Fund loan when the legislature swept all of the funds in 2013? (The full list of projects left unfunded is available here.) If so, we are requesting that you or someone from your city respond to a brief survey to help us learn more about the impact of this fund sweep. It should only take 10 – 15 minutes to complete the survey.

We are aware that Public Works Board staff conducted a similar survey last summer. We’re hoping that the timing of this survey will give us better information about the ultimate fate and cost of many of these projects, since you have had more time to try to find alternate funding, or to revise, delay or cancel these projects.

The overall goal of the survey is to help AWC, and a coalition of other local government, contractor and business interests gather more up-to-date information so we can tell the story of the impact of reduced funding for the Public Works Trust Fund. Your responses are very important to us.

Survey instructions:

For those of you that had multiple projects on the 2014 construction loan list you will have the opportunity to complete the survey for up to three projects. If you had more than three projects on the list we urge you to complete the survey for the three projects that are the highest priority for your city.

Please respond to the survey by May 30, 2014. Click the following link to go to the on-line survey: https://awc.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_4OxE1MwG197XFfT.

If you have any questions about the survey. Please contact Dave Catterson – davec@awcnet.org, (360) 753-4137.
