Dog breed-specific ordinance bill not likely to move from committee

In an earlier article we discussed HB 2117 which would prohibit jurisdictions from referencing a specific breed of dog when crafting an ordinance. The bill adds without regard to the breed of the dog to many definitions. HB 2117 had a hearing and was up for executive session last week, but no action was taken. This usually indicates the bill is dead.
