State emergency communications committees recruiting for advisory boards

The State E911 and State Interoperability Executive Committees are seeking members for their advisory boards. These are great opportunities to continue community involvement, help to develop strategies, and assist with statewide operations of emergency communication.

  • State E911 Advisory Committee – This committee advises and assists the state E911 Coordinator with the overall operation of E911 (enhanced 911). Members of this committee serve the public and are liaisons for the committee to stakeholders of E911. The strategic plan for the committee outlines the goals and objectives for coordinating E911 operations. Specifically need east and west members
  • State Interoperability Executive Committee – The SIEC committee, formed in 2003, works to ensure all emergency responders communicate with one another to share timely and emergent data with seamless radio connections. SIEC is comprised of representatives from a variety of agencies covering the state and local jurisdictions

Membership is open to those wishing to serve and applicants do not need to be an elected official. If you are interested in serving on these Boards and Committees, please contact Karen Tanner.
