Cities continue to show impressive support for statewide transportation revenue package

The Senate Transportation Committee held a public hearing on Thursday, November 21 on the Majority Coalition Caucus's transportation revenue proposal (include links to documents on Leg. Website).  Cities showed up in force, with 28 city officials testifying in favor of transportation revenue.   Pat Johnson, Mayor of Buckley, testified on behalf of AWC.  See clips below of Mayor Johnson and Mayor Suzette Cooke of Kent urging the Legislature to pass a transportation revenue package now.

Negotiations between the House and Senate continue.  There are considerable disagreements on details, however, so it is unclear whether we will see a package pass before the end of 2013.
