Fees for electronic financial reporting

The proposal to establish a mandatory electronic filing system for elected officials, political committees, and lobbyists to report to the Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) failed to make it out of the House this week and is likely dead for the year. HB 1005 required all elected officials to pay a $200 annual fee to file a PDC financial statement unless the official earned less than $10,000 per year.
