Webinar: Coal trains and export facilities

AWC is hosting a two-part series of webinars to provide information to our members about proposed coal export facilities and the associated rail traffic. The first webinar was held on October 31, where we heard from representatives from Burlington Northern Santa Fe, the State Freight Mobility Board, and the Washington Public Ports Association. Attorney Eric Laschever explained the environmental review process.

The second webinar will be held on November 14 and will feature representatives from Climate Solutions, Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility, and Sightline Institute; a traffic consultant who has done rail traffic impact studies on these proposals for several cities in Washington; and a legal professional to discuss the environmental review process and the requests for programmatic review that are being made by many stakeholders. There will be an opportunity for questions from city officials following the presentations.

The webinars are free, but you must register to receive the login information that allows you to participate. For more information, and to register, click here.
