Tax exemption bills

HB 1894, which would reinstate tax preferences for certain high-technology research and development, is scheduled for hearing in the House Finance Committee on Thursday, March 30 at 8 am.

HB 1904, which would provide a sales tax exemption while imposing a new state B&O tax on data brokers for sales of consumer data and personal information (such as consumer online tracking data), is in the House Rules Committee, and passage is assumed in the House budget proposal.
