Washington city officials attend NLC conference in D.C.

More than 70 Washington city officials traveled to warm and sunny Washington, D.C. to attend the National League of Cities Congressional City Conference. Led by AWC President Paul Roberts and other members of the Executive Committee, officials met with Senators Murray and Cantwell, House member staff, and leadership from the National Leagues of Cities. Key issues addressed were pushing for action on Internet sales tax collection and maintaining the ability to use municipal bond financing for infrastructure.

In addition to an AWC Federal Committee meeting, AWC President Roberts, Board Members Don Gerend and Sean Guard, CEO Peter King, and other city officials attended a special briefing at the White House Old Executive Office Building to discuss key issues of interest and concern to cities across the country.
