Changing how the Public Works Board prioritizes projects

Sen. Carrell (R–Lakewood) has introduced a bill to encourage the “use of low-cost alternatives to traditional construction methods, including the use of pipe bursting technology for sewer, storm water, and water delivery infrastructure.” To accomplish this goal, SB 5313 requires the Public Works Board to consider whether a project includes low-cost alternatives in its project prioritization process.

The bill is scheduled for public hearing at 10:00am on February 4 in the Senate Governmental Operations Committee.

We understand that this bill might be of concern – please provide feedback to Alison Hellberg.
